Charles Barkley Thinks That Kevin Durant Is Trying To Cheat His Way To An NBA Championship
I love Charles Barkley. He is easily the most entertaining retired athlete this side of Marshawn Lynch and has always kept it real. And I understand he hates that his Ringless Club won’t gain many superstars in the coming years if they keep teaming up like Voltron while Barkley has to continually get clowned by Kenny Smith. But I don’t think you can say Kevin Durant is cheating his way to a title. Maybe being a cheap bastard like people that used Michael Vick in Madden back in the day. But cheating would be using an actual cheat code in real life. And as we just saw in the Finals, Cheat Code Steph Curry was no match for that whole “real life” thing to the point where his own wife said the NBA was rigged. Now if Tim Donaghy reffed every Warriors game next season, Chuck may have a point.
And while I hate the living shit out of “Well Actually” people, Charles was 32 when he was traded to the Rockets. Not 37. He also averaged 23 points per game and 8 boards, followed by 19 and 9 his first year in Houston. So it’s not like he was playing like some bum when Phoenix unloaded him. And even though Barkley didn’t actually make the trade that shipped him to the Rockets, who were defending back-to-back champions a year before Barkley arrived, it’s not like Chuck gave the Suns much of a choice in the matter.

Barkley’s relationship with the Suns soured last season, and he has said he would retire if they didn’t trade him to a contender. In an interview with NBC during the N.B.A. finals in June, Barkley said Houston was among the teams he would consider joining.

I have no idea how much it weighed in his head, but I imagine the foot injury Durant had a couple of seasons ago could have weighed on his mind. Or the fact that if he was going to leave OKC, he might as well go to a team and a city that is much better than Oklahoma City. If you have to anger a bunch of fans and ex-players that never won a title, so be it. And it doesn’t seem like Charles is too angry with life (then again, this is exactly what I would say whether I was mad or not).
But the real question I want Charles to answer is if would be interested in seeing Kate Upton grow a third boob.
